Women Read and Parlance (WRAP) is a literacy based mentorship program for female youth currently being operated out of the Southwest Juvenile Justice Center and the Riverside Youth Opportunity Center. In addition to focusing on education and literacy, WRAP provides participants with the opportunity to discuss serious issues like gang violence and drug abuse in a non-threatening, judgment-free setting. WRAP also facilitates and encourages strong, successful women from our local communities to be guest speakers for the program and to serve as mentors to WRAP participants. WRAP is operated at no cost to its participants and prides itself on its inclusion of those from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
